Transformer moisture absorber

Transformer moisture absorber, also known as transformer respirator or or transformer silicone tank, is used to adsorb moisture entering the air of the transformer oil pillow capsule and diaphragm, remove and dry impurities and moisture entering the air of the transformer oil storage cabinet capsule due to changes in transformer oil temperature, to prevent the transformer from getting damp and ensure the insulation strength of the transformer oil. 

The transformer moisture absorber is installed at the end of the pipeline connecting the oil conservator and air. When the temperature of the transformer oil rises, the expansion of the transformer oil causes the volume to increase, resulting in a smaller space on the conservator. The pressure rises, and the air is discharged through the moisture absorber. When the oil temperature decreases, the contraction volume of the oil decreases, causing a negative pressure to form in the conservator and the external air to be sucked in. 

When air is sucked in, the moisture in the air is first absorbed by the transformer oil in the oil cup through the desiccant in the dehumidifier to ensure that the incoming air is dry. The main function of transformer oil in the oil cup is to prevent continuous contact between the hygroscopic agent and air, slow down the discoloration and dissolution rate of the hygroscopic agent, and extend the service life of the hygroscopic agent.
