   When the primary winding is connected to the AC power, the light bulb connected to the secondary winding will glow, what is the reason? This needs to be explained according to the principle of electromagnetic induction, when the primary winding is connected to the AC power supply, the alternating magnetic flux is generated in the iron core, and the secondary winding is sleeved on the same iron core column due to the primary winding. The alternating magnetic flux in the core passes through both the primary and secondary windings at the same time, resulting in an induced electromotive force in both windings. For the load, the induced electromotive force of the secondary winding is equivalent to the power supply. The current flows through the secondary winding, causing the bulb to glow.

       The transformer converts the alternating voltage and current on the primary side into the voltage and current on the secondary side through electromagnetic induction, and its magnitude is different or the same as that of the primary side, so as to achieve the purpose of electric energy transmission. The power supply frequency does not change when it is transmitted, which is the basic working principle of the transformer.
