The production process of iron core

The production of transformer cores generally involves the following steps:

Material Preparation

- Material Selection: Silicon steel sheets or amorphous alloy strips are usually selected. Silicon steel sheets have good magnetic conductivity and low iron loss. Amorphous alloy strips have lower coercive force and higher magnetic permeability, and the no-load loss can be reduced by about 75%.

- Quality Inspection: For the purchased silicon steel coils or amorphous alloy strips, it is necessary to strictly verify the specifications and check for surface defects, uneven thickness and other problems to ensure that the material performance meets the production requirements.

Cutting and Processing

- Slitting: Use a slitting machine to cut the silicon steel coil or amorphous alloy strip into strip materials of the required width.

- Cross Cutting: Further cut the slit materials by a cross cutting machine to process silicon steel sheets or amorphous alloy sheets that meet the design dimensions and shapes. Punching and other operations may also be carried out.

Core Molding

- Laminated Core: Stack the cut silicon steel sheets or amorphous alloy sheets in a certain order and manner, and press them into shape by a high-speed laminator. For amorphous alloy cores, after cutting and laminating the amorphous alloy strips to obtain multiple groups of core laminations of amorphous alloy sheets, move the core laminations to the molding table and lap the two ends of each group of amorphous alloy sheets from the inside to the outside.

- Wound Core: Directly and continuously wind the silicon steel strip or amorphous alloy strip into a circular ring or other shapes, and then fix it on the core yoke.
