Desiccant Production Process
1. The desiccant production process comprises three types, as illustrated:
The corrosion resistance of desiccants varies based on their surface coating:
Level 5 Corrosion Protection > Spray Coating > Spray Painting
2. Descriptions of desiccant models:
(1) C5: Five-level corrosion protection, highest corrosion resistance grade
(2) C4: Four-level corrosion protection. Zhao Jinduo does not offer four-level protection; typically replaced with five-level protection. However, in the Wuqiang region, spray-coated desiccants are generally labeled as four-level protection.
(3) C3: Three-level corrosion protection. Both Zhao Jinduo and the Wuqiang region use spray coating technology.

Desiccant Knowledge Points
1. Cast flange bases may exhibit rough or uneven textures. The supplier has now replaced molds to eliminate this issue.

3. Spray-baked paint vs. standard paint comparison
Spray-baked paint offers superior corrosion resistance compared to standard paint. Salt spray testing confirms its protection level ranges from C3 to below C5, ensuring longer service life.
4. Advantages of adding a vent cover to desiccators
Silica gel particles may fracture over time when exposed to moisture. Adding a vent cover prevents broken particles from clogging the breathing holes.
5. Our desiccators feature 10 breathing holes, compared to 8 in other manufacturers' products. This larger ventilation area enhances adsorption capacity and ensures greater safety.
5. Our desiccator utilizes M10 rods with a Dacromet coating. This coating provides a more uniform and dense finish compared to standard rods, offering superior corrosion resistance—particularly against high-temperature corrosion—while being more environmentally friendly.
6. Comparison of Flanged Bases with and without Rims, and Their Advantages/Disadvantages
Advantages of rimless bases:
1. Without a flange, water drains directly down the dehumidifier casing, improving drying efficiency.
2. The gasket sits externally on the flange base. During installation, compression ensures full coverage of the base, preventing water ingress and enhancing sealing. (Even with external placement, prolonged sun exposure won't cause cracking. Typically, replacement is needed long before the gasket deteriorates.)
Disadvantages of flanged models:
1. The flange groove on flanged dehumidifiers prevents complete water drainage, leading to water accumulation.
2. The internal gasket on flanged models experiences lower pressure, resulting in poor sealing and increased water ingress.
7. C5 denotes Grade 5 corrosion resistance.
