Introduction of German Standard Transformer Bushings

German Standard Transformer Bushings, manufactured in strict compliance with the German Industrial Standards (DIN/VDE), play a key role in the connection and insulation of the transformer's internal and external circuits. The main insulation mostly adopts oil-paper capacitor structure, formed by alternating winding of insulating paper and aluminum foil to form a capacitor core, which can skillfully even out the electric field distribution and significantly enhance the insulation performance. The outer insulation is often chosen to have good electrical insulation and mechanical strength of the porcelain sleeve, which can comfortably cope with all kinds of complex outdoor environments, and the unique shape design effectively increases the creepage distance and reduces the risk of tainted flashover. Current-carrying structure in various forms, covering the cable, conduit current-carrying type, etc., can stabilize the transmission of large currents. Part of the German standard transformer bushings use such cutting-edge materials as Al₂O₃-SiO₂ nano-composite ceramics, which greatly improves the bending strength, together with the plasma grafting method of processing the surface of ceramic parts, to enhance the adhesion of the silicone rubber umbrella skirt, reducing the risk of interfacial discharges. In addition, according to the strict DIN EN 62199 testing standards, more than a hundred tests are required before leaving the factory to ensure product quality and safety, from mechanical properties, insulating properties to thermal stability and other all-round control. It is widely used in transformers from 1kV to 52kV and even higher voltage levels, with a maximum current transmission of 12500A, and can operate stably and reliably in both indoor and outdoor environments, including harsh environments such as severe pollution, extreme temperatures, and corrosive environments, thus providing a solid guarantee of safe and stable operation of the power system.
