Introduction of Transformer Moisture Absorber:

1.Transformer moisture absorber is a device specially designed to protect the insulating oil and other critical components inside the transformer from moisture. Moisture entering the transformer can lead to insulation degradation, electrical failures and equipment damage, so moisture absorbers play an important role in the normal operation and life extension of the transformer.

2.Working principle of moisture absorber:

Transformer moisture absorbers prevent moisture from entering the interior of the transformer by absorbing moisture from the air. Its basic working principle is as follows:

Air flow:

When the temperature inside the transformer changes, air enters or exits through the breather of the transformer.

The moisture absorber is mounted on the breather and all air entering or leaving the transformer must pass through the absorber.

Moisture Absorption:

The inside of the breather is filled with a moisture absorbing material (usually silicone).

When air passes through the moisture-absorbing material, the moisture in the air is adsorbed on the moisture-absorbing material and the air is dried.

Dry air output:

The dried air enters the interior of the transformer to prevent moisture from affecting the insulating oil and internal components.
