Brass Pressure Relief Valve

A pressure relief valve is a device used to control and regulate fluid pressure. It is commonly employed in industrial equipment, piping systems, and pressure vessels to ensure that the pressure within the system remains within safe limits. When the pressure inside the system exceeds a predetermined safety value, the pressure relief valve automatically opens to release some or all of the fluid, thereby reducing the system pressure and preventing hazardous situations such as explosions or leaks.

The operating principle of a pressure relief valve typically involves an adjustable spring and valve core. When the internal pressure of the system rises to the set value, the spring is acted upon by the pressure, pushing the valve core to open, allowing fluid to be released from the system. Some pressure relief valves may also have manual operation or remote control functions for manual or automatic triggering of the release operation.

The selection of a pressure relief valve depends on the requirements of the application, including the working pressure range, fluid type, operating temperature, and other factors. In many countries and regions, pressure relief valves are essential safety devices for various types of pressure equipment, and their design and installation must comply with relevant regulations and standards.
