Air Pressure Relief Valve
The pressure relief valve is installed on the tank cover, and is used in large and medium-sized transformers to replace explosion-proof pipes. It is generally installed at the bottom of the transformer's oil tank. The pressure relief valve protects the transformer oil from external air isolation during normal operation of the transformer. Once a short circuit fault occurs in a transformer, the transformer winding will experience arcs and sparks, causing a large amount of gas to be generated in the transformer oil in an instant, and the pressure inside the oil tank will increase significantly. When the pressure reaches 5.4 × At 104pa, the pressure relief valve opens and releases pressure within 2ms; At a pressure value of 2.9 × At 104pa, the pressure relief valve automatically closes. This way, the transformer oil tank will not deform or explode due to excessive pressure.
