Transformer breather function

The main function of a transformer moisture absorber is to prevent faults caused by the accumulation of moisture inside the transformer.

 Transformers usually need to be kept dry because humid environments can cause insulation oil to become damp, thereby reducing

 insulation performance and even potentially causing equipment short circuits or damage. The moisture absorber absorbs moisture 

from the air to keep the interior of the transformer dry and ensure its normal operation.

Moisture absorbers typically use materials with moisture absorbing properties, such as silicone or molecular sieves, to absorb moisture. 

The moisture absorber will be installed in the sealing system of the transformer. When the concentration of moisture in the gas or oil of 

the transformer increases, the moisture absorber will absorb these moisture to ensure that the performance of the transformer is not 

affected.

Overall, moisture absorbers can extend the service life of transformers, improve equipment reliability, and prevent malfunctions caused 

by moisture.
