The difference between hot-rolled silicon steel and cold-rolled silicon steel:
Production process
-Hot rolled silicon steel: Fe Si alloy is melted in a flat or electric furnace, repeatedly hot-rolled into thin plates, and finally annealed at 800-850 ℃.
-Cold rolled silicon steel: Hot rolled silicon steel is used as raw material, and after acid washing, it is cold rolled on a cold rolling mill. Some parts require secondary cold rolling, and after cold rolling, annealing, insulation coating and other treatments are also required.
Performance characteristics
-Electromagnetic properties: Hot rolled silicon steel has relatively low magnetic permeability and high iron loss; Cold rolled silicon steel has high magnetic permeability and low iron loss, especially in the direction of rolling, cold-rolled oriented silicon steel has superior magnetic properties.
-Surface quality: The surface of hot-rolled silicon steel is relatively rough, with poor flatness and smoothness; Cold rolled silicon steel has a smooth and even surface, uniform thickness, and high dimensional accuracy.
-Mechanical properties: Hot rolled silicon steel has high mechanical strength and heat resistance; Cold rolled silicon steel has relatively high strength and hardness, but may have slightly lower toughness.
Microstructure
-Grain orientation: The grain orientation of hot-rolled silicon steel is irregular; The grains of oriented silicon steel in cold-rolled silicon steel are generally oriented in one direction, while non oriented silicon steel has a disordered grain distribution, but compared with hot-rolled silicon steel, the grains are more uniform and smaller.
-Organizational uniformity: The uniformity of hot-rolled silicon steel organization is poor; Cold rolled silicon steel has better microstructure uniformity through processes such as cold rolling and annealing
