Transformatores in diversis typis secundum propositum et strukturam suam classificati potest:

Power transformer: used in transmission and distribution systems, for boosting or lowering voltage.

Distributio transformator: convertit high voltage electricity into low voltage electricity for user use.

Autotransformer: The primary and secondary windings share a common coil, with a simple structure but poor isolation.

Isolation transformer: The primary and secondary windings are completely isolated for safety protection.

Instrument transformers: including voltage transformers and current transformers, used for measurement and protection.

The efficiency of a transformer refers to the ratio of output power to input power, which is usually higher (over 95%). 

Losses mainly include:
